Diary Entry 2 was not a surprise to me reading about the different types of groups where only the black, white, rich, poor or nerdy kids would sit in their own racial or cultural groups where they did not mix with other students. This diary entry reminded me of my old school. Everybody was segregated in their own way, if you sat with or spoke to a "rich" kid or any other person from a stereotypical group, people would look at you and judge you instantly without any hesitation. This relates to the people in diary entry 2 because they could not and would not sit with any other person from a different background, social status or culture.
The diary entry is very similar to my own personal experiences and demonstrates that the only reason for this type of segregation is everybody's ego. I believe that people can make a change for the better and can sit with other people that are from a different race or culture. Living in Australia has taught me that no matter what your race, culture, background or social status we are all equal and you also learn to embrace the different cultures and races as a nation.
